Hi Friends!
Please join us for the classic Friday afternoon family farm hang + potluck + after dinner community sauna. These gatherings will happen about once a month and all are welcome. The main purpose is to relax and connect with the farm friends and family, which is basically our mission! Sometimes there will also be a more particular theme around which we will have an activity or conversation, such as a musical performance, a documentary screening, art making, a big issue/political discussion, a guided meditation...you name it (literally).
Please be sure to RSVP (on this page) for everyone in your group and indicate whether you would like to join for the sauna as well as the potluck. Here are the details:
What: Chill at the farm and eat good food with friends. Each potluck has a culinary or regional theme. Please try to bring something that fits but don't worry if you're not sure. Fresh and tasty is the main thing. Please bring your own utensils if possible.
Potluck themes:
May 17: The Mushroom Kingdom (wild and cultivated)
June 21: Israel Palestine
July 19: Brazilian Food and Music
September 5: The Punjab
October 18: Americana (and the election!)
Where: Gather at the East of Eden Farmhouse, the blue trimmed cedar thing located just before the farmstand at 4968 Patton Rd. Food will be stationed on the southside deck and lawn. We will open up the deck, lawn, kitchen, and bathroom. Please take off shoes before entering the house. Kids and families welcome to wander the farm, forest, and play at the nature preschool.
When: May 17, June 21, July 19, September 5, Oct 18
4:30 to 6:30pm: Potluck hang and roam around farm
6:30 to 7:30: Interesting activity or group discussion
7:30 to 8:30 (or later): Sauna (Room for apporximately 15. Bring a towel to sit on. RSVP required!)
Why: to close your week in a positive intentional way a la shabbat with friends and family; meet interesting people, play, sweat, and hopefully learn something (yes please all of the above!)
